January 3, 2004

The fabulous bicentennial year of 2003 has now come and gone. We've only one more event, and it is exactly one week away on Saturday, January 10. Beginning at 6:30 that evening, The Knight's of Columbus Hall, 13225 State Road E, will be filled with guests for the Black Tie Dinner/Dance. Two hundred sixteen reservations for the evening have been made.

What a wonderfully bittersweet year the people of De Soto have had for their one and only bicentennial. The Steering Committee wishes to thank everyone for their participation. Whether you were able to attend only one function, or if you were able to involve yourself in the planning and work of several events, you were part of the grand scheme and total enjoyment of the year. Thank you , thank you.

A personal thank you goes to Erich Jett who developed this unique website especially to bring the bicentennial information to the public. He has been relentless all year in his ambassadorship for this town.
